GreggNet is a very loose collection of programming and networking experts in the Topeka Kansas area, that assemble whenever needed to solve computing problems for non-profit organizations that have difficulty obtaining funding for systems related projects.  While we cannot accept all requests for assistance, the work that we do is always done on a voluntary basis.  Our recent hardware and network expansions have greatly increased our capabilities for evaluating systems and organizational needs.

Our Family Portal Section is designed to provide a media for keeping our family and friends closer to the events around us. 

A few notes on the site:  You will notice the site banner changes from time to time.  This banner is tied to our automated weather station forecasting engine.  It is based on a WMR-968 weather station that accumulates data every minute to an Microsoft SQL2005 OLAP engine.  We now have over 6 million weather observation points recorded.  As the weather forecast changes and the time of day changes, the banner responds to reflect the forecast.  The site is entirely written in ASP.NET (1.1) and ADO.NET.  It is running on a dual processor Dell server with Microsoft Windows 2003 Server software. Data services are provided by a dual processor server of my own construction running the Microsoft SQL 2005 server and Analysis Services components.  These same components are also used to drive the Streaming Video and Music available on parts of the site as well.  Enjoy.
